Champions League: PSG comeback stuns Barcelona

Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick admitted that Paris Saint-Germain were deserved winners in Wednesday's Champions League match at Montjuïc, where the Catalans were defeated 2-1, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.

Barcelona took the lead through Ferran Torres in the 19th minute, but PSG equalized with 19-year-old Senny Mayulu, and Gonçalo Ramos scored the winning goal in the 90th minute.

"After 35 minutes, PSG took control of the match. We didn’t play at our best level, and they deserved the victory," Flick said after the match, adding that fatigue impacted his team’s performance in the second half.

The German coach acknowledged that Barcelona lost their structure and were punished for defensive mistakes, though he praised defender Eric Garcia’s performance.

"We must learn from these matches and improve. In the Champions League, you have to defend and attack with intensity for the full 90 minutes," he emphasized.

Barcelona will now look to bounce back in their next match against Olympiacos, while PSG face Bayer Leverkusen.
