Albania Hosts UEFA U21 Championship Preparations
As part of the preparations for the UEFA European Under-21 Championship to be held in Albania and Serbia in 2027, a UEFA working group conducted an inspection visit from September 8 to 12, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.
UEFA officials, accompanied by representatives of the Albanian Football Association (FSHF), inspected the stadiums where the matches will be held, as well as training grounds and hotels that will host the participating teams. In total, 28 hotels and 21 training centers were visited, which will be selected to be included in the "Team Base Camps" catalog offered to the finalist teams.
The overall impression of the inspectors was positive, while the next UEFA visit is scheduled for March 2026 to further monitor the progress and preparations.
Recall that in February this year, UEFA's Executive Committee decided that Albania would be one of the host countries for the Euro U21 2027. The tournament will take place in June and will gather 16 national teams under 21 years old, featuring players who already stand out in Europe’s top leagues.
