Inter Led Early but Fell to Udinese Goals from Davis and Atta
Cristian Chivu admitted that Inter showed weakness in their 2-1 loss against Udinese, emphasizing that his team needs to know how to combine beautiful football with pragmatism, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.
After a convincing 5-0 win over Torino, the Nerazzurri were defeated in Milan despite taking the lead through Denzel Dumfries. Udinese overturned the result with goals from Keinan Davis and Arthur Atta in the first half.
“The game was on the right track, but we weren’t fluid, and we couldn’t find the right way to create chances,” said Chivu, adding that lack of focus cost Inter. The coach used all available forwards, but they rarely troubled the opposing goalkeeper. “You need to try to play beautiful football, but also be ready to play poorly when necessary, as one ball into the box can cause more damage than a beautiful pass,” he stressed.
Chivu highlighted that the team is still “a work in progress” and called for more balance and concentration. Inter will return after the international break with a match against Juventus, followed by the Champions League.
