LeBron James joins Philadelphia 76ers

Star basketball player LeBron James has announced that he will play for the Philadelphia 76ers next season, joining the NBA team that also features Turkish international Adem Bona.

In a post on X, James said he believes he can help transform the 76ers into a championship-winning team.

"I believe I can help make the Philadelphia 76ers a championship team, and I'm excited to bring energy to a new fan base and begin this incredible journey one more time," he wrote.

Last June, the Los Angeles Lakers announced that they had parted ways with the 41-year-old basketball legend.

Widely regarded as one of the greatest players in NBA history, James played for the Lakers from 2018 to 2026. Nicknamed "King James," he has won four NBA championships—two with the Miami Heat and one each with the Lakers and the Cleveland Cavaliers.

James is also a four-time NBA Most Valuable Player (MVP), a four-time NBA Finals MVP, and has been selected to the NBA All-Star Game 22 times.
