After 10 years of loyalty, 33-year-old forward Son Heung-min announced that he will be leaving Tottenham Hotspur this summer — a decision he described as the most difficult of his career, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.

At a press conference in Seoul, he expressed deep gratitude to the fans and the club, emphasizing the need for a new environment to continue challenging himself.

In the friendly match against Newcastle United, after being substituted in the 64th minute, he was given a guard of honor and received long-standing ovations, an emotional moment for both him and the fans.

He ended his journey at Tottenham with 454 appearances, 173 goals, and 101 assists, placing him among the top scorers in the club’s history.

A transfer to Los Angeles FC is close to completion and could break MLS records, with the fee potentially ranging from 15 euros to 22.5 million euros, making it one of the most expensive moves in the league’s history.

Tottenham’s new manager, Thomas Frank, praised Son as a true legend, saying the match in Seoul was a perfect farewell to his decade at the club.
