
Estonia’s girl breaks U18 Pole Vault world record at EYOF 2025

France’s Moana Peyrard Moana and Greece’s Anastasia Boumpoulidi rounded off the top three, taking silver and bronze respectively.
Italy’s Kelly Doualla set a European under-18 record winning the Girls’ 100m in 11.21 seconds, while Poland’s Nikodem Dyminski won the Boys’ 100m in 10.50.
Xenia Buri of Switzerland and Carolina Ventura of Portugal took silver and bronze in the Girls’ 100m, while Italy’s Edwin Fermin Galvan and Ireland’s Benjamin Sykes rounded off the top three in the Boys’ 100m competition.
The first shooting medals also saw a new record set, with Türkiye's Elif Berfin Altun breaking the European under-18 record in Girls’ 10m Air Rifle with a score of 421.2. Serbia’s Anastasija Zivkovic and Austria’s Mia Grosch followed in second and third.
In the Boys’ 10m Air Rifle, Akos Marta of Hungary won gold, with Slovenia’s Maksimilijan Zaric and NOC Belarus athlete Arseni Livantsou taking silver and bronze respectively.
Other athletics events on the first day of EYOF2025 saw France's Alois Abraham take gold in the Boys’ 1500m; Norway’s Venus Abraham Teffera in the Girls’ 3,000m Steeplechase; Hungary’s Mirabella Keseru in the Girls’ Discus Throw; and Bosnia and Herzegovina’s Enhar Mahmic in Boys’ Shot Put.
In swimming, Spain’s María Santana Beneyto won the Girls’ 400m Individual Medley, while Zeteny Janos Sarkany won the Boys’ 400m Freestyle earning Hungary’s third gold medal at the first day of the competition.
Hungary topped the medal table at the end of day one of EYOF Skopje 2025, with 23 of the participating delegations winning medals.
The first day of EYOF Skopje 2025 also saw impressive individual performances from Macedonian swimmers, with new national and personal records set across several disciplines. Damjan Stankovski set a new under-14 national record in the 200m Boys’ Breastroke with a time of 2:35.41 minutes, breaking the previous record of 2:37.90.
Neda Milenkovska was the only Macedonian athlete to qualify for the swimming semifinals on the first day of the competition, securing a place for herself in the Girls’ 200m Butterfly where she finished seventh.
Personal bests were also achieved by Daniel Miloshevski in Boys’ 400m Freestyle, Nikola Velkovski in Boys’ 400m Breastroke, Mihail Aleksovski in Boys’ 200m Breastroke, and Milan Jankovski in the Boys’ 100m Backstroke.
