Radev Honors U19 Volleyball Champions

President Rumen Radev on Thursday presented the Presidential Honorary Plaque to Bulgaria’s national under-19 women’s volleyball team in recognition of their victory at the 2025 FIVB U19 World Championship and their contribution to Bulgarian sport, CE Report quotes BTA

“You are already role models for thousands of Bulgarian children,” Radev said during the ceremony, promising full support for the team’s Olympic aspirations. He also expressed hope that their success would inspire more youth to pursue sports over social media.

Team captain Viktoria Ninova called it “a great honor and responsibility” to represent Bulgaria.

The team clinched the world title after a 3-1 win over defending champions USA in the final in Osijek, Croatia. Setter Dimana Ivanova was named MVP of the tournament.
