Slovenian tennis star falls in first round of WTA 250 series tournament

Slovenian tennis player Veronika Erjavec was eliminated in the first round of the WTA 250 series tournament in Iași, Romania.

At the tournament with a prize pool of over €235,000, she was defeated in the opening round by Croatian player Jana Fett, with a score of 7:6 (6), 6:2, CE Report quotes STA.

However, Slovenia’s top-ranked WTA player later claimed a victory in the doubles competition during the evening session.
