Modric to Bring Experience to Allegri’s Midfield

Sports

Luka Modric has barely recovered from the four slaps he received from PSG in the Club World Cup against Real Madrid and is looking forward to his new adventure with Milan. After a quick negotiation that involved Igli Taren himself, the Croatian has signed a one-year contract until 2026 with a salary of 3.5 million euros per season, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.

The only thing missing is an official announcement. After a few weeks off, the 40-year-old will undergo a medical and join his new teammates between the end of July and the beginning of August.

A very busy summer for the former Real Madrid phenomenon, winner of the 2018 Ballon d'Or, called upon to bring experience to a Milan team that has lost Reijnders in midfield and no longer has veteran Theo Hernandez in the squad.

Allegri will look to Modric to manage key situations and instill a winning mentality that is currently missing at Milanello. A few days ago, Tare praised Allegri as the right man to bring a winning spirit back to Milan. With Modric and his countless titles at his side, Max will be able to play with a mix of experience and a carefree attitude.

Modric could make his debut at San Siro in the first round of the Coppa Italia, scheduled for August 17 against Bari. A week later, the Rossoneri will face Cremonese at home (August 23) in their league opener. From the Club World Cup to matches against Bari and Cremonese in the space of a month: the start of Modric's new adventure with the Rossoneri is almost laughable, but the Croatian phenom is ready to get back in the game and light up San Siro.
