Tributes Paid to Boxing Legend Mihai Leu

Bucharest Mayor Nicușor Dan offered condolences on Wednesday following the death of former world boxing champion Mihai Leu, calling him “a true legend and a symbol of dignity in both sport and life.”

“Romania has lost not only an exceptional champion, but a man of integrity who inspired through courage, passion, and decency,” Dan wrote on X, CE Report quotes AGERPRES

Mihai Leu passed away Tuesday evening at age 57, after spending over a week in critical condition at the Fundeni Clinical Institute.
