Summer McIntosh broke the women's 200-meter individual medley world record, finishing in 2:05.70 at the Canadian swimming trials.

The eighteen-year-old beat the 2:06.12 mark set by Hungarian Katinka Hosszu at the 2015 World Championships, CE Report quotes ANSA.

For the three-time Olympic gold medalist McIntosh, this is her second world record in this event, after setting the 400-meter freestyle record on Saturday.
