Ukrainian club Shakhtar Donetsk has named Arda Turan as their new head coach until 2027.

The 38-year-old Turkish manager replaces Marino Pusic, who won the 2023/24 Ukrainian Premier League but finished third last season.

Turan, who began his coaching career at Eyupspor in 2023, expressed pride in joining Shakhtar, citing its rich history and ambition.

Shakhtar CEO Serhii Palkin praised Turan as a “promising and ambitious coach” ready to succeed both in Ukraine and in Europe, CE Report quotes Anadolu Agency
