North Macedonia, US pledge deeper cooperation across key sectors

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of North Macedonia Timcho Mucunski held a meeting with the Chargé d’Affaires of the United States, Nicole Varnez.

During the meeting, the parties expressed satisfaction with the development of bilateral relations and the strategic partnership between the two countries, as well as readiness to further deepen cooperation in various areas of mutual interest, CE Report informs via Timcho Mucunski's official website.

The sides exchanged views on current international and regional developments, the situation within NATO, and current security challenges, reaffirming the importance of the U.S.–North Macedonian strategic partnership and alliance within the NATO framework as key factors for stability and security.

The discussions also covered the country’s reform processes, including reforms in the judiciary, digitalization, the fight against corruption and organized crime, as well as the implementation of infrastructure projects.

The parties confirmed shared commitment to further enhancing political dialogue and bilateral relations, continuing activities within the Strategic Dialogue, and strengthening partnership within the NATO Alliance.
