Albanian student wins Neo Science Olympiad in US
Loris Qose, a 15-year-old student from the central Albanian town of Cërrik, won first place at the Neo Science Olympiad in Orlando, Florida, representing Albania among participants from 21 countries.
Deputy Prime Minister of Albania Albana Koçiu highlighted the achievement in a social media post, CE Report quotes ATA.
She described it as an example of how academic success can emerge from schools in smaller communities.
Koçiu said the result reflected both the student’s dedication and the support of his teacher, Flutura Hoxholli, whom she credited with nurturing his talent and ambition.
“We are proud of Loris and grateful to every teacher who instills in young Albanians the belief that knowledge, hard work and perseverance can lead to success,” Koçiu said.
She added that Qose was now preparing for the next Olympiad, due to be held in Rome, expressing confidence that his academic achievements would continue.
