Bosnia, Croatia hold high-level talks

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina Elmedin Konaković met with the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia, Gordan Grlić Radman.

The parties discussed the improvement of bilateral relations and current political issues of mutual interest, CE Report informs citing the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH's statement.

It was emphasized that relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia are good and stable, with a mutual commitment to further strengthening them through more intensive bilateral cooperation in various areas.

A special focus of the talks was Bosnia and Herzegovina’s European path. The interlocutors agreed that the upcoming holding of an intergovernmental conference between BiH and the EU would be an important step forward, officially marking the start of negotiations on full membership.

During the meeting, they also discussed the issue of the stay of transport operators from Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Schengen area, expressing readiness to find adequate solutions through dialogue and cooperation that would facilitate business operations and the movement of goods and services.

At the end of the meeting, it was concluded that continuing open dialogue and a partnership-based relationship are key to the stability and progress of both countries, as well as to overall regional cooperation.
