Prime Minister of Albania Edi Rama published a video in the social media showing several citizens of Iranian origin, who declare that they have joined the protests held in Tirana against the investment in Zvërnec.

“Look who showed up playing savior after arriving as a ‘tourist’”, Rama wrote.

The girls in the video say that they live in Canada and that they have been in Albania for five days, CE Report quotes ATA.

They say they have joined the protest in solidarity with Albanian citizens, who feel forced to the streets because their concerns are consistently ignored by state institutions.

“We stand with the Albanian people. When the government ignores the people, the streets speak for them”, they say in the video.

Further on, they say that citizens in different countries face similar challenges and share common concerns about the way of governance.

“We share more with each other than we do with our rulers”, they say.
