Albania stands in full solidarity with Türkiye after Iran's ballistic missile attack

The Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs of Albania issued a statement regarding the ballistic missile attack launched from Iran into Turkish airspace.

In its communication, the Ministry underscored:

“Albania stands in full solidarity with Türkiye, our Ally within NATO and our strategic partner.”

“The immediate response of NATO’s air defense and missile defense capacities, which successfully shot down the ballistic missile and thereby protected the civilian population as well as the territory of the Alliance, is to be commended.”

The Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs declared:

”Iran’s irresponsible attacks risk further destabilizing the region.”

The statement further emphasized:

“A strong defense and preventive capabilities remain essential for NATO’s collective security.”
