Mario Draghi urges Europe to become federation to avoid US, China dominance
Europe must overcome old divisions and become a federation if it does not want to be subordinate to the United States and China, former European Central Bank (ECB) president Mario Draghi said on Tuesday amid rising geopolitical tensions.
"Europe risks becoming subordinated, divided, and deindustrialised", if it does not turn itself into a "genuine federation," he said, CE Report informs.
Draghi noted that "power requires Europe to move from confederation to federation" because the global order is "now defunct".
