Ukraine, U.S. make significant progress toward just peace, Zelensky says
Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized the importance of constructive dialogue during the negotiations between the Ukrainian and U.S. delegations that took place in Florida.
The President of Ukraine reported this on Telegram, CE Report quotes Ukrinform.
“Today, following the work of the teams in the United States, head of the Ukrainian delegation Rustem Umerov reported on the main parameters of the dialogue, its emphases, and some preliminary results,” he wrote.
According to the head of state, it is important that the talks were constructive and that all issues at the meetings were discussed openly and with a focus on securing Ukraine’s sovereignty and national interests.
Zelensky expressed gratitude to the United States, Trump’s team, and the U.S. President personally “for the time that is being invested so intensively in defining the steps to end the war.”
“We will continue working. I look forward to receiving a full report from our team during a personal meeting,” the President of Ukraine added.
As reported, National Security and Defense Council Secretary Rustem Umerov stated that talks in Florida resulted in significant progress toward achieving a just peace and in bringing Ukraine’s and America’s positions closer together.
