President Maia Sandu of Moldova, during her official visit to Montenegro, emphasized the shared goal of European Union membership. Invited by President Jakov Milatović, Sandu held talks with top Montenegrin officials, including the Prime Minister and Parliament President, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES

“We discussed how to work more closely together so that citizens in both countries can benefit from the EU path,” said Sandu, highlighting joint efforts, shared experiences, and mutual learning.

Her visit follows her participation in the European Political Community Summit in Albania, where she also met with Albanian President Bajram Begaj. All three countries—Moldova, Montenegro, and Albania—are EU candidates, aiming to strengthen cooperation in their accession efforts.
