Moldovan electoral body declares valid republican constitutional referendum from 20 October

The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) has declared valid the republican constitutional referendum from 20 October and approved, at a today’s meeting, the official report on the centralization of the voting’s results, according to a CEC’s press release, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES

Thus, based on the official reports on the tabulation of the results of the voting at the referendum, compiled and approved by the constituency electoral councils, the Central Electoral Commission ascertained a voter turnout of 50.72 per cent. In the context, 1, 532, 264 voters received ballot papers for referendum; 1,531,392 electors participated in the voting. As many as 749,719 people out of 1,488, 874 validly expressed votes voted for the YES option, while 739,155 people voted for the NO option.
