U.S. President Donald Trump is convinced that Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky, despite the difficult circumstances of the war, is "doing pretty well."

Trump said this during a meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte at the White House, answering questions from journalists, CE Report quotes Ukrinform.

The American president was asked whether he considered Zelensky a winner in the war, given that Trump, by his own words, likes winners.

"He's doing pretty well. He's holding his own, at least," Trump replied.

At the same time, the White House chief noted that the war continues to take many lives on both sides.

" A lot of people dying on both sides, but I think he's doing pretty well," Trump added.

As reported, Trump met with Rutte at the White House on Wednesday.
