Moldova and the United Kingdom have ratified an agreement to jointly combat illegal immigration. The deal, approved by Moldova's parliament today, sets out streamlined procedures for identifying and returning individuals who lack legal residence status in either country, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES

Signed in Chișinău on November 20, 2024, the agreement also commits both nations to uphold international legal standards on rights and responsibilities during the readmission process.

Moldova has previously signed similar agreements with six other countries, including Ukraine, Georgia, and Denmark.
