Romania reaffirms unwavering support for Moldova’s EU integration

Moldovan Prime Minister Vasile Tofan is paying an official visit to Romania today. In the morning, he was welcomed at the Victoria Palace by his Romanian counterpart, Ilie Bolojan. The two leaders held a tête-à-tête meeting, followed by a joint press conference.

Ilie Bolojan reaffirmed Romania's support for the Republic of Moldova's European integration, CE Report quotes MOLDPRES.

"Romania's support for the Republic of Moldova remains unwavering. Romania will continue to be the Republic of Moldova's main supporter at the European Union level," Bolojan said.

For his part, Prime Minister Vasile Tofan thanked Romania for its continued support and said the authorities in Chișinău continue to rely on Bucharest's assistance throughout Moldova's European Union accession process.

The two officials also discussed bilateral cooperation projects and the regional security situation, which continues to be marked by significant challenges.
