Poland's Morawiecki leaves ECR presidency
The European Conservatives and Reformists (ECR) Party has learned with great regret of President Mateusz Morawiecki’s decision to step down in order to focus more fully on the political challenges facing Poland.
"While fully respecting his decision, the Party expresses its sincere gratitude for his leadership, commitment and service to our political family, and looks forward to continuing to work closely with him in defence of our shared values," the statement reads.
Acting President Carlo Fidanza has already initiated the necessary steps following Prime Minister Morawiecki’s decision, in accordance with the Party’s Statutes, CE Report informs via the ECR Party's official website.
The ECR Party remains fully committed to its political mission and to strengthening the conservative movement across Europe.
