Kosovo Assembly Set to Reconvene as PDK Mulls Strategy
The elected members of the Democratic Party of Kosovo have gathered ahead of the constitutive session of the Assembly. They have stated that they will decide there how to proceed, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.
PDK Vice President Enver Hoxhaj said that they will take their position before entering the session.
"We're still waiting for half an hour, but we'll take a position when we're there before the session begins," he said.
Ariana Musliu-Shoshi and Elmi Reçica also said that they would make the decision at the meeting.
"Now we have the meeting with the parliamentary flu and we will have a final decision. We have not met yet, we have the meeting and we will make the decision," said Musliu Shoshi.
"We will take a position in the parliamentary group and have a meeting before the session," said Reçica.
The elected deputies will gather again today, April 17, to continue the constitutive session.
The chairman of the session, Avni Dehari, sent a letter to the president on April 16, asking for suggestions for further action. The president recalled the rules of the Assembly and said that the session should continue within 48 hours.
The constitution of the Assembly would pave the way for the vote on the Speaker of Parliament and then the new government.
So far, the LVV, as the winning party, has not announced the name it will propose for Speaker of the Assembly, nor whether it has the numbers to vote for him.
