Hiker Discovers Human Remains in Frusinate

Human remains in an advanced state of decomposition were discovered this evening in the province of Frosinone, in a wooded area called Schito, located on the outskirts between Sora and Broccostella, CE Report quotes ANSA.

The body is that of an adult male, believed to have died at least a couple of weeks ago, possibly even several months ago, with the corpse later disturbed by wild animals.

Police from the Frosinone mobile unit arrived at the scene, along with Cassino deputy prosecutor Chiara D'Orefice. The remains were spotted by a hiker, who alerted the police around 9 PM last night. Firefighters and Sora's Civil Protection also responded. The area has been sealed off and closed to traffic, and is being illuminated with floodlights to facilitate the investigation.
