Member of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ermina Salkičević-Dizdarević, participated in the “She Leads 2026” conference, organized in Tešanj by the agency “Conversa.”

The conference brought together more than 80 women from the business community, public life, education, and healthcare, CE Report quotes FENA.

The conference focused on empowering women in both professional and private life, leadership, balancing career and personal responsibilities, as well as increasing women’s participation in decision-making. The central panel discussion was titled: “Can a woman have it all – and at what cost?”

Speaking as one of the panelists, Ermina Salkičević-Dizdarević emphasized that a woman’s success should not be viewed through sacrifice, but through building a society that provides women with equal opportunities, support, and understanding.

“Women at every stage of their lives have different priorities, and it is important for them to know that they do not need to have everything, but rather what they truly want. Sometimes it is family, sometimes a career, sometimes time for themselves, and often all of it—but at their own pace and by their own choice. It is important for women to be part of the decision-making process, because it is always better to decide together than for someone to decide on their behalf. When women have a voice, opportunity, and support, they change not only their own lives, but society as a whole,” Salkičević-Dizdarević said.

She assessed that conferences like this one in Tešanj are important because they connect women from different fields and create space for exchanging experiences, mutual support, and joint action.

In addition to Ermina Salkičević-Dizdarević, representatives of the business, education, and healthcare sectors also took part in the panel, discussing the challenges of balancing professional and private life, the position of women in leadership roles, and the need for stronger networking among women.

The “She Leads 2026” conference concluded with the message that women are drivers of positive change, but that stronger and more successful communities require greater inclusion of women in decision-making processes in politics, the economy, education, and local communities, the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina stated.
