La Russa: “Jewish Community Closely Shares Italy’s Grief”

“I don’t know anything about Netanyahu, I don’t know if he has written or not, I hope he has and that he did.

What I do know firsthand is that the Italian Jewish community has not only formally paid tribute, but is very close in mourning.

I personally received messages from the head of the Jewish community of Milan and from senior members of the Jewish community of Rome.

In fact, I received condolences as if I were someone to whom they could be addressed, but they are certainly messages of deep solidarity with Italy’s mourning.

Any other interpretation contradicts this closeness that the Jewish community is showing minute by minute.”

This was stated by the President of the Senate, Ignazio La Russa, speaking to reporters at the Senate about the funeral of the Pope, CE Report quotes ANSA.
