Poland records strong growth in investment activity
The number of projects receiving support under the Polish Investment Zone increased by 22%, while the declared value of investments rose by 29% in comparable periods of 2025 and 2026.
As many as 72% of approved projects were carried out by micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), CE Report informs via the Ministry of Economic Development and Tecnology of the Republic of Poland's official website.
The Polish Investment Zone (PSI) plays a key role in developing the national economy by attracting capital and stimulating the labour market. Since the programme was launched in September 2018 through the end of June 2026, a total of 4,032 investment support decisions have been issued. These projects represent a record PLN 166.85 billion in declared investment value and are expected to create 57,118 new jobs.
“New investments and greater competitiveness are the pillars of economic growth. The state’s task is to properly stimulate these processes, and the Polish Investment Zone is one of the most important instruments designed to achieve this. This year’s PSI results indicate that the Polish economy is developing dynamically, with domestic small and medium-sized enterprises serving as a key driver of this growth,” said Minister of Finance and Economy Andrzej Domański.
Dynamic Growth
In 2025, entrepreneurs received 646 investment support decisions, declaring investments worth nearly PLN 22 billion and the creation of more than 3,600 jobs.
The first half of 2026 continued this upward trend. By the end of June, 332 support decisions had been issued, representing total investments of more than PLN 12.4 billion and the planned creation of more than 1,500 new jobs.
A comparison of data at the end of June 2026 with the same period last year shows a clear acceleration in investment activity:
- 22% increase in the number of projects;
- 29% increase in the declared value of investments.
High Level of Active Projects
Most of the approved projects are being effectively implemented. At the end of 2025, 3,017 support decisions remained active, representing PLN 113.4 billion in investments.
As of June 30, 2026, the number of active decisions had risen to 3,260, accounting for 80% of all investment support decisions issued. They represent PLN 120.7 billion in investments and commitments to create 34,300 new jobs.
Polish micro, small and medium-sized enterprises are a key pillar of the PSI programme. In 2025, they accounted for 71% of projects receiving support decisions, 16% of the total investment value and 26% of new jobs.
In the first half of 2026, Polish SMEs maintained their strong position, receiving 238 support decisions, or 72% of all decisions issued in 2026. They declared investments worth PLN 2.183 billion, representing 18% of the total, and the creation of 452 new jobs, or 29% of all planned jobs.
