Bulgaria’s housing market records further price growth in 2Q2026

Home prices in Bulgaria increased by 15.5% in the second quarter of 2026 compared with the second quarter of 2025, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) reported on Wednesday.

Home prices across the country rose by 4.5% in Q2 2026 compared with the previous quarter.

The largest increase was recorded in Plovdiv, at 5.8%, followed by Stara Zagora at 2.9%, Varna at 2.8% and Sofia at 2.4%. A decline of 1.5% was recorded in Burgas, CE Report quotes BTA.

According to NSI data, home prices in Bulgaria increased by 14.8%, year-on-year, in the first quarter of 2026.

They rose by 6.2% compared with the fourth quarter of 2025.

At that time, the largest increases were recorded in Burgas, Sofia, Varna and Plovdiv, while declines were registered in Stara Zagora and Ruse.
