Sarajevo Unlimited forum brings innovation, entrepreneurship, technology together

The 11th Sarajevo Unlimited regional forum on innovation, entrepreneurship and technology, which opened today in the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, will examine a new phase of technological evolution in which people, data, algorithms and infrastructure are becoming part of an interconnected ecosystem.

The two-day programme will focus on digital transformation, artificial intelligence, improving user experience, e-government, smart tourism, the green transition, digital healthcare, sustainable mobility, education and the skills required by the modern labour market, CE Report quotes FENA.

Alma Hoffmann, Executive Director of the Networks Foundation, which organises the forum, said this year's Sarajevo Unlimited is being held under the slogan “Rooted in Machine” because the boundary between the organic and the digital has not disappeared; rather, it has ceased to be important.

Federal Minister of Labour and Social Policy of Bosnia and Herzegovina Adnan Delić stressed that new technologies have long been part of people's lives and careers, making it necessary to adapt legislation to recognise work through digital platforms and all other emerging forms of employment.

He added that Sarajevo Unlimited brings together representatives of domestic and international companies, public institutions and academia to present their requirements, which could become part of new legislative solutions.

Sarajevo Mayor Samir Avdić said the city administration is following technological trends in order to improve the functioning of the city as a local government, all for the benefit of its citizens.

Representatives of BH Telecom and Huawei also expressed their support for the forum, highlighting the importance of an event that brings together key leaders and young innovators who will shape the future of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The forum has brought together representatives of domestic and international companies, public institutions, academia, development organisations and the startup ecosystem, as well as young professionals and students.

The aim is to connect knowledge, technology, the business sector and decision-makers while creating opportunities for concrete cooperation, investment and the development of new solutions.
