BiH salary data shows strong annual growth in 7M2026

The average monthly net salary paid per employee in legal entities in Bosnia and Herzegovina in July this year amounted to KM 1,732, an increase of 1.5 percent compared with June, while it was 8.1 percent higher than in July last year.

According to data from the Agency for Statistics of Bosnia and Herzegovina, employees in the information and communications sector received the highest average net salaries in July, at KM 2,294, CE Report quotes FENA.

They were followed by workers in human health and social work activities, with an average salary of KM 2,265, and those employed in financial and insurance activities, with KM 2,263.

On the other hand, the lowest salaries were recorded in accommodation and food service activities, at KM 1,180, followed by construction at KM 1,334, wholesale and retail trade at KM 1,381, and manufacturing at KM 1,414.

The average monthly gross salary in Bosnia and Herzegovina in July this year amounted to KM 2,694, representing a 1.5 percent increase compared with June, while the real increase stood at 1.9 percent.

Year-on-year, the average gross salary in July was 8.4 percent higher in nominal terms than in the same month last year, while the real increase amounted to 4.6 percent.
