Australian citizen injured in Croatia's Dubrovnik bus accident
A traffic accident occurred on Branitelja Dubrovnika Street in Dubrovnik, Croatia, in which a pedestrian sustained serious injuries.
The police investigation established that the 24-year-old pedestrian, an Australian citizen, was under the influence of alcohol, with a blood alcohol level of 0.55 g/kg, and was crossing the road outside a marked pedestrian crossing.
He was struck by a Dubrovnik-registered bus driven by a 54-year-old man, CE Report informs via the Dubrovnik Police Department's official website.
The pedestrian sustained serious injuries that were not life-threatening.
After receiving medical treatment, he was admitted for further care at Dubrovnik General Hospital.
An offence notice was issued to the Australian citizen for the traffic violation.
