Montenegro records strong retail growth in second quarter of 2026

In Montenegro, turnover of goods in retail trade in II quarter 2026 compared to II quarter 2025 increased by 7.2% in current and 4.1% in constant prices.

Turnover of goods in retail trade in II quarter 2026 compared to I quarter 2026 increased by 28.5% in current and 25.2% in constant prices, CE Report informs via the Statistical Office of Montenegro's official website.

Retail trade in motor fuels in II quarter 2026 compared to II quarter 2025 increased by 22.0%, while compared to I quarter 2026 it increased by 37.2%.

Retail trade turnover of food in II quarter 2026 compared to II quarter 2025 increased by 4.2% at current, while compared to I quarter 2026 it increased by 28.3%.

Retail trade of cosmetic and pharmaceutical products in II quarter 2026 increased by 14.8% compared to II quarter 2025, while it increased by 11.0% compared to I quarter 2026.

Retail trade in other non-food products increased by 7.1% in II quarter 2026 compared to II quarter 2025, and increased by 33.5% compared to I quarter 2026.
