Bosnia showcases results of EU-funded projects across 350 locations
The Directorate for European Integration, marking Europe Day and European Week in Bosnia and Herzegovina, presented new digital content on its website dedicated to the use of European Union financial assistance in Trebinje.
The subpage “Success Stories on the Use of European Union Financial Assistance in Bosnia and Herzegovina” features an interactive map with more than 280 territorial cooperation projects across 350 locations, showing where changes are taking place, as well as stories and photo stories about the projects and the people behind them.
It also includes infographics clearly presenting the results and impact of these projects, CE Report informs via the Directorate for European Integration's official website.
“The idea to create this subpage came from two reasons. The first is that the use of EU financial assistance is one of the topics that interests our citizens the most, and the second is the exceptional results achieved by our beneficiaries in eight territorial cooperation programs. Specifically, in the previous financial perspective, our beneficiaries had around 76.5 million BAM at their disposal, while in the current perspective that amount has already exceeded 117 million BAM. We expect it to increase significantly by the end of this cycle, considering that new projects have already been approved and we are expecting additional calls and new partnerships,” said Elvira Habota, Director of the Directorate for European Integration, during the presentation of the subpage.
The stories cover various sectors, with a special focus on the experiences of beneficiaries from Bosnia and Herzegovina who, through project implementation, contributed to visible and concrete changes in their communities.
The event also provided an opportunity to hear their experiences firsthand, while a visit to the Museum of Herzegovina in Trebinje allowed participants to see the results of cross-border cooperation projects on site.
