Prince William, Kate Middleton's son receives first-ever job offer
Prince Louis (7) recently received his first-ever job offer, but his parents, Prince William and Kate Middleton, had to politely decline on his behalf, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.
The World Conker Championships (the Chestnut World Cup) invited the young prince to become its honorary patron, but the Palace declined, explaining that Louis is not yet an active member of the Royal Family, People magazine reports.
The unusual offer came after Princess Kate revealed that her youngest son is fascinated with collecting wild chestnuts.
Although Louis couldn’t take on the role, the Royal Family still played a key part in this year’s event. Due to a dry summer, organizers faced a shortage of quality conkers and feared the competition might be canceled. King Charles stepped in, sending over 300 chestnuts from Windsor Castle’s grounds.
The World Conker Championships, held annually since 1965, raises funds for charities supporting the visually impaired. So far, it has raised more than €520,000, and each year winners are crowned “King” and “Queen of Conkers.”
