The Monthly Earnings Statistics do not provide an assessment of the extent to which changes in employment levels, workforce composition or seasonal employment affected the 0.1% monthly change in average net earnings.

The methodology states that the average wage is calculated based on the total amount of wages paid in the month and the number of employees to whom those payments relate.

However, the July 2026 earnings release does not provide an analysis quantifying the separate effect of employment changes or seasonal employment on the average wage.

Prices of goods and services for personal consumption, measured by consumer price index, in July 2026, as compared to June 2026, increased by 0.8% on average. This was influenced mostly by increase in prices of: accommodation services; tobacco; cereals and cereal products; restaurants, cafés and the like; milk, other dairy products and eggs; passenger transport by air; meat; hairdressing salons and personal grooming establishments.

At present, MONSTAT does not have data on the median wage, as median wages are not calculated within the Monthly Earnings Statistics. In accordance with the methodology, MONSTAT calculates and publishes the average net wage, based on the total amount of wages paid and the number of employees to whom those payments relate.
