Representatives of the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FIPA) participated in a meeting of the Joint Committee for Cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Federal Republic of Germany.

They discussed ways to enhance bilateral economic cooperation and increase German investment in Bosnia and Herzegovina, CE Report informs via the FIPA's official website.

Germany ranks among the ten leading investor countries in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The participants also discussed challenges faced by German companies already operating in the Bosnian market.

A key highlight of the meeting was the signing of a Joint Declaration on Cooperation between FIPA and Germany’s Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy.

The Declaration aims to strengthen bilateral economic cooperation through institutional partnerships, enhance FIPA’s capacities, and support regional economic development.

Cooperation will include the exchange of professional knowledge and experience, improvements in public administration, and stronger institutional capacities, in line with the principles of European Twinning projects.

At a joint meeting between FIPA and the German ministry’s teams, the participants agreed on the next steps for implementing the Declaration. A visit by German experts to FIPA is also expected soon to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and best practices.

Strengthening the partnership with Germany opens up new opportunities to improve the investment climate, attract additional investment, and develop long-term business partnerships.
