
Bulgaria Joins Key Transport Corridors
Bulgaria’s Black Sea port of Burgas is set to become a key hub in the developing Three Seas Corridor, Deputy Transport and Communications Minister Dimitar Nedyalkov announced at the Balkan Business Forum in Bansko on Saturday. Nedyalkov highlighted Bulgaria's strategic role in the Trans-Caspian Corridor linking Kazakhstan and Europe, positioning the country as a gateway due to evolving geopolitical conditions. He emphasized ongoing investments in rail infrastructure along the East-West axis and called for more bridges across the Danube to strengthen North-South connectivity with Romania.
He assured regional partners of Bulgaria’s commitment to facilitating smooth cross-border transport with neighbors like Turkiye, stating: “The Balkan countries have a partner who cares.”
