Greek Tourism Revenues Expected to Surpass €20 Billion in 2024
Tourism Minister Olga Kefalogianni announced that Greek tourism revenues are projected to exceed €20 billion in 2024. Speaking to the Athens-Macedonian News Agency, she highlighted record-breaking performance in the first five months of the year, as well as in September and October. "We expect 2024 to close as a new record year for Greek tourism," Kefalogianni stated, adding that initial indicators for 2025 are also positive, CE Report quotes Athens-Macedonian
The minister also discussed a new tourism bill introducing minimum operational and safety standards for short-term rentals and unveiling an innovative classification system for hotels based on environmental performance. She described this system as a global first for the industry.
