Massive Indoor Cannabis Greenhouse Uncovered in Sveti Vlas

A 47-year-old man was arrested in Sveti Vlas during a joint operation by Nessebar police and Burgas forensic experts, the Burgas Regional Directorate of the Interior Ministry reported. The operation uncovered 355 hemp plants cultivated in specially equipped rooms, marking the largest indoor facility of its kind found in the Burgas region in a decade, CE Report quotes BTA

The marijuana greenhouse, under surveillance for six months, was likely intended for narcotics export, according to Commissioner Ivan Malinov of the Burgas Criminal Police Department. The seized marijuana is estimated to have a street value exceeding BGN 1 million.

The operation also uncovered seedlings, 50 cm tall plants, dried cannabis, quartz lamps, humidifiers, fans, and fertilizers. Pre-trial proceedings have been launched, with supervising prosecutor Angel Georgiev overseeing the case.
