Bulgarian delegation takes part in key UEFA meeting

Bulgarian Football Union President Georgi Ivanov took part in a legends game tournament organized by FIFA on the eve of the 76th Congress of the organization, held in Vancouver, Canada.

Ivanov was part of the European football governing body’s team, which featured some of the greatest legends in world soccer, including David Trezeguet, Andriy Shevchenko, Goran Pandev, Davor Suker, and Michel Salgado.

The UEFA team reached the semifinals, where it lost to the Canadian squad, which included Hristo Stoichkov and Demetrio Albertini, CE Report quotes BTA.

The event turned into a true soccer celebration, bringing together in one place many iconic figures from world soccer.

A day before the FIFA Congress, the official delegation of the Bulgarian Football Union, led by Ivanov and including Deputy Executive Directors Iveta Bankova and Dobrin Gyonov, took part in a working meeting of UEFA member associations.

The main topics on the agenda of the upcoming Congress were discussed at the meeting, as well as key issues related to the development of European and world football.
