Thousands march in Paris for Ukraine anniversary

War in Ukraine

Around 2,000 people took part in a Ukrainian march in Paris, marking the fourth anniversary of Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine.

Participants marched from Place de la République to Place de la Bastille, urging France and the international community not to remain on the sidelines and to continue supporting Ukraine, CE Report quotes Ukrinform.

Ukraine’s Ambassador to France, Vadym Omelchenko, told participants that Russia’s strategy is aimed at destroying energy infrastructure, exhausting civilians, and forcing capitulation. He stressed that Ukraine is defending not only its own territory but Europe as a whole.

He thanked French President Emmanuel Macron, his team, and the French people for their solidarity and support.

During the rally, Raphaël Glucksmann, a French Member of the European Parliament, questioned why Ukraine has not yet received long-range missiles and why Russia’s frozen assets have not been confiscated, saying Europe “can and must do more.”

As previously reported, a large rally titled “Together for Ukraine” also took place in Prague, organized by Czech volunteer groups.
