Luxury Yacht ‘Dolce Vento’ Goes Down Shortly After Launch

Türkiye

A luxury yacht worth nearly one million dollars sank just fifteen minutes into its maiden voyage off the coast of northern Türkiye, sending passengers and crew into a panic as they jumped into the sea.

The yacht, named Dolce Vento, sank near the coast of Zonguldak, in the Eregli district, CE Report quotes Kosova Press.

The owner, captain, and two crew members safely swam to shore without injury.

Officials at the shipyard said the cause of the sinking is under investigation, and technical inspections will be carried out to determine what happened.

It was the first time the roughly 85-meter-long vessel had set out to sea, after being handed over to its owner from Istanbul.
