Burgas gains direct flights to Paris

For the first time, Burgas Airport welcomed a flight of low-cost carrier Transavia France on the Paris–Burgas route, giving the southern Bulgarian Black Sea coast a direct air link with another European capital, the airport management reported on Tuesday.

The newly launched route is expected to contribute to an increase in tourist traffic from France to the region, attracted by Black Sea resorts, coastal landmarks, and the summer atmosphere of Burgas Region. Flights will operate regularly every Monday, CE Report quotes BTA.

Meanwhile, Burgas is renewing its air connectivity with Germany. On May 22, Eurowings launched its flights from Stuttgart, and by the end of the season the schedule will also include routes from Hamburg, Dusseldorf and Cologne.

The expanded German presence in the flight programme of Burgas Airport is expected to further strengthen the destination's position among tourists from Central and Western Europe, the airport management noted.
