A Festival of Danube Wine will be held in Vratsa for the first time on Friday and Saturday, Greta Kostadinova of the Association of the Danube Winemakers, which is organizing the event, told BTA on Tuesday.

“We expect fourteen or fifteen winemakers from our region in order to showcase our specific varieties,” Kostadinova added.

Wine lovers will be able to explore, taste and meet producers. Guests at the festival will be able to sample fresh white wines and elegant red wines, Kostadinova also said, CE Report quotes BTA.

The event is organized by the Association of the Danube Winemakers with the support of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food and Vratsa Municipality. Nearly twenty wineries from the western and central Danube Plain are members of the Association.
