easyJet sees strong demand driving Ljubljana-London Luton route launch - EXCLUSIVE
When assessing any new route, we review a number of factors as part of our broader network strategy, such as demand, alongside existing capacity and operational opportunities.
This was said by Andy Cockburn, PR Manager at easyJet, in an exclusive interview with CE Report, regarding the new Ljubljana-London Luton route.
He noted that demand for travel between Slovenia and the United Kingdom has been driven by a mix of leisure and business customers.
"The new route joins existing services from Edinburgh, which launched this summer, and Manchester and Gatwick from the UK. easyJet will now operate over 700 flights between the UK and Slovenia this summer," he added.
Commenting on the impact of the expansion of air connectivity expected to have on tourism and business ties in Slovenia, Cockburn said that it provides greater choice and more low fares as well as improved connectivity for customers travelling for business and leisure.
Cockburn noted that the launch of a new route between Ljubljana and Luton marks easyJet's fourth connection from the UK and shows the demand is there from both inbound and outbound passengers.
"We're sure it will be popular amongst customers connecting between both cities," he added.
Regarding additional new routes or expanded cooperation with international carriers be expected in the near future, Cockburn said that "we will always assess any future opportunities to expand our route network."
