Snowfall has blanketed Mount Tomorr in Albania, giving the area a breathtaking winter landscape.

Prime Minister of Albania Edi Rama shared images of Mount Tomorr under its white snow cover, inviting mountaineers and nature enthusiasts to experience a unique day amid the winter scenery, CE Report quotes ATA.

On Mount Tomorr, at an altitude of 2,417 meters above sea level, lies the Tyrbe of Abaz Aliu, one of the most important Bektashi pilgrimage sites, visited each year by thousands of believers as well as tourists interested in adventure, sightseeing, and spiritual heritage.

Careful management of the tourist areas by the Tomorr National Park Administration, along with guided tours by specialized guides familiar with safe trails and zones, has made this park accessible throughout the year.

Mount Tomorr is located east of the city of Berat and northeast of Çorovodë and enjoys the status of a National Park. The area offers many opportunities for sports and outdoor activities, including alpine climbing on snow-covered slopes during winter and rafting adventures in the Osum canyons during the summer.

At the foot of Tomorr flows the Osum River, which has carved the famous canyons—one of the country’s most visited natural attractions, especially in the warmer months.

In addition to its natural wealth, Mount Tomorr’s tourist itinerary includes religious sites of Christian and Bektashi faiths, as well as monuments of nature and culture, making the area an important destination for nature, cultural, and religious tourism.
