Mount Çika in Vlorë, covered in snow during the first days of January, offers a breathtaking view for tourists.

A unique natural experience, with the jagged peak of Mount Çika overlooking the Ionian Sea on one side and the Vlorë River on the other, makes this southern Albanian spot an attraction for nature lovers, hikers, and sightseeing tourists, both domestic and international, CE Report quotes ATA.

Prime Minister Edi Rama shared images on social media today of a group of tourists at the summit of Mount Çika.

Rama described the images as spectacular, writing:

“Mount Çika, where the sea and snow share the postcard.”

The peak of Çika is a prominent point of the Ceraunian Mountains in Albania, standing at 2,044 meters above sea level. Located in the city of Vlorë, it ranks among the highest peaks in Europe, placing 85th on the continent’s list of tallest mountains.

As an important part of the Llogara National Park, Mount Çika is known for its rich biodiversity. The western side of the mountain is filled with diverse flora, including Bulgarian fir, Austrian pine, Bosnian pine, and Macedonian pine.

Visitors to Mount Çika throughout the year enjoy extraordinary views of the Albanian Riviera as well as the beauty of its rare forests.
